Taxation
When and how should smaller online revenues be handled properly?
MPOD Egyesület is a professional community, knowledge hub and advocacy organization for online creators, print-on-demand businesses, creative online store owners and platform-based sellers.
For many people, digital creation is no longer just a hobby. It can become real income, but the first steps are often uncertain: taxation, copyright, platform rules, business decisions and sales strategy questions all appear at once.
The association helps creative professionals build their online activity with more knowledge, greater confidence and a stronger professional background.

In Hungary, more individuals and small businesses are trying to earn income as digital creators, creative professionals, people starting print-on-demand shops, platform-based sellers or online content creators.
This often begins experimentally and with modest revenue. Many creators have no formal business background, no accounting or legal support, and no trusted professional community where they can ask practical questions.
MPOD Egyesület offers a professional, educational and community framework instead of isolated answers.
When and how should smaller online revenues be handled properly?
At what point does it make sense to move from experimentation to a business structure?
How can graphics, quotes, brands, characters or AI-generated content be used lawfully?
What do marketplace rules and online selling policies actually require from creators?
How can a creative idea become a sustainable online activity?
MPOD Association, the Hungarian Print on Demand Association, supports professionals working in print on demand and the wider digital creative economy.
The association was originally established to develop the print-on-demand market, support online store owners and improve the professional standards of POD businesses. Today, we interpret this mission in a broader context: print on demand is part of a digital creative economy where creators, designers, content creators, platform-based sellers and creative microbusinesses build online income.
Our goal is to help these groups avoid navigating legal, financial, business and sales-related questions alone. Through training, educational resources, community events, research and advocacy, we support more informed, lawful and sustainable creative activity.
Our mission is simple: to help digital creators turn creativity into a consciously built opportunity, not a source of uncertainty.
The association serves creators, entrepreneurs and professional partners who build revenue through digital tools, online platforms or creative products.
For people who want to build revenue from their knowledge, content, visual style, creative work or community.
For creators who sell their own graphics, visual work, templates or digital products.
For sellers of custom products such as T-shirts, mugs, posters and other printed items without holding stock.
For those selling through marketplaces, social platforms, their own online stores or international sales channels.
For people building an online store, brand or side income around creative products and services.
For accountants, lawyers, marketers, producers, developers and other experts who can support this ecosystem.
Good ideas are not enough in the digital creative economy. Success also requires legal, financial and business awareness, an understanding of online sales and the ability to navigate platform rules.
We help creators understand the decisions, rules and risks involved in building income from online creative work.
We provide accessible educational resources and events for those who are unsure about tax and business frameworks.
We pay special attention to the lawful use of graphics, texts, brands, characters, music, digital content and AI-generated materials.
We organize online trainings, guides, workshops and professional events around the key questions of digital creator activity.
Our aim is to give creators a professional space where they can ask questions, learn and build connections.
We collect experiences, case stories and market feedback so the challenges of independent creators and small creative businesses become visible.
The digital economy has opened new opportunities for people who want to build income from their knowledge, creativity or content. This can be especially important for young people, early-stage professionals, parents of young children, people seeking additional income and microbusinesses.
The opportunity becomes sustainable only when those affected understand the legal, financial and business frameworks. Without reliable information, creators can easily become exposed to avoidable risks.
MPOD Egyesület aims to reduce this information gap by providing accessible knowledge, professional community and practical support.

The association's programs focus on knowledge sharing, community building, legal and business awareness, and mapping the practical problems creators face.
Accessible education for early-stage digital creators, print-on-demand shop owners and platform-based sellers.
Collecting feedback, case stories and problem maps about how the digital creator market works in practice.
Meetups, workshops, online conversations and roundtables for creators, entrepreneurs and experts.
Building connections with accountants, lawyers, e-commerce specialists, platform operators, civil society organizations and professional partners.
Preparing professional resources and proposals on issues affecting digital creators, POD businesses and platform-based sellers.
The association wants to work from real experiences, not assumptions about the problems digital creators face.
We collect short feedback and case stories that show where people struggle with taxation, starting a business, copyright, platform rules or online sales.
Submitted experiences may be used in aggregated, anonymized form for professional resources, research, educational content and advocacy proposals.
You do not need to write a formal case study. A short description of the issue is enough.
We welcome applications from those who share the association's goals and want to take part in supporting the digital creative sector professionally.
As a member, you can join community work, attend events, access educational resources and help make the challenges of digital creators more visible.
Individuals, businesses and organizations can connect with the association if they agree with its goals and accept the provisions of its statutes.
Membership applications are reviewed according to the association's statutes. Submitting the form does not automatically create membership.
Use this form if you would like to join as a member, discuss professional cooperation, or share your experience as a digital creator.
As a nonprofit organization, we consider transparent operation essential. This section makes the association's basic data and official documents available to the public.
